How it’s worked out

Jack Daniels’ VDOT comes from the oxygen it costs to run at your speed and the share of your maximum you can hold for that long. From it we work out how fast you would run other distances in the same shape.

The times assume you train for that distance: a marathon needs volume, not just speed. In LT2 the prediction comes from your training every week.

Let your training work it out

LT2 estimates your threshold, VO₂max and zones from your watch activities, and keeps them up to date every week.
